Third Grade

 

Your child can expect to be challenged and enriched within the third grade curriculum, using the Colorado Academic State Standards.

Elements of our program include:

  • Treasures, Accelerated Reader, Lexia and Lucy Caulkins for Literacy
  • EnVision Math
  • TCI for social studies and Foss to meet science standards
  • Daily Encore class of art, physical education, media or music

Students can look forward to integrated units in geography, communities, geology, life cycles, matter, and the human body.

Opportunities in third grade include Encore night, math night, and literacy night. During the school day, students can expect daily wellness activities, a few curriculum based field trips, and celebrations for accomplishments in reading in math.  Third graders also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of after school enrichment classes.
