Fourth Grade

Your child can expect the 4th grade teachers to provide a differentiated learning environment where all students can grow to become independent, lifelong learners.  The fourth grade curriculum includes a variety of reading genres, elements of writing, Everyday Math, spelling, science, and social studies within their homeroom class.  

Science

  • Physical Science- Energy comes in many forms
  • Life Science-Interaction and interdependence of living and nonliving components of systems
  • Earth Systems - Earth and its solar system. 

Social studies: Colorado

  • Geography
  • Economics
  • Civics

This year students will be introduced to personal Netbooks which they will be using in their classrooms.  This technology will support our fourth grade curriculum and encourage students to use technology to learn and communicate.
